The general purpose of the psychological counseling services offered at Istanbul Aydın University is to facilitate students’ adaptation to university life, contribute to their personal development by creating awareness, help them overcome academic, personal, and social challenges they may encounter, and provide them with various skills needed to cope with daily life problems. The topics covered in this context include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Difficulties in adapting to university and dormitory life
* Difficulties in interpersonal relationships
* Family problems
* Academic difficulties (such as lack of concentration, procrastination, lack of motivation)
* Personal issues (such as difficulty in decision-making, shyness, self-confidence)
Individual sessions are conducted by Specialist Psychologist Sinem Emekli at the Psychological Counseling Center located within the campus infirmary. Application Process
The Psychological Counseling Center works by appointment. You can fill out the application form by contacting [email protected] and submit it to the unit.
After your application reaches Specialist Psychologist Sinem Emekli, you will be contacted to determine a suitable day and time, and your appointment will be scheduled. Please keep in mind that during busy periods, the appointment scheduling process takes an average of one week.
PCM working hours are between 08.00-17.30 on weekdays.
The Psychological Counseling Center provides psychological support services to Istanbul Aydın University students, focusing on their individual, social, and academic development.
Individual counseling services and group therapy sessions are organized by our specialist psychologist based on the specific needs of our students.
Services provided at the PDM are free of charge and are available to all students and staff currently enrolled or employed at our university.
