- To meet the needs of students, academics, and staff related to university life,
- Organizing activities with students that meet their athletic, cultural, and social needs,
- To coordinate student council elections and student club activities,
- Acting as a bridge between the University Rectorate and students and providing guidance to students are among its most fundamental duties.
Description of Work Performed in the Unit:
Our university carries out planned activities to meet health, cultural events, and sporting needs by organizing the Student Council and Student Clubs. Additionally, it handles the planning, approval, and participation processes related to our university’s involvement in sporting competitions, cultural events, and social responsibility projects aimed at promoting our university both domestically and internationally.
These tasks are carried out through the following branches and units:
- Sports Services Department
- Department of Culture and Social Services
- Health Unit (Infirmary)
SKS STRATEGY
- Within the framework of Istanbul Aydın University’s Mission and Vision, it is to carry out activities that will enable our students to participate in productive and creative projects that are beneficial to themselves, their families, and society, to bring organizations to life, and to be loyal to the values of the Republic of Turkey and to love their nation. The Health, Culture, and Sports Department’s strategic plan for the future is to ensure that our students become competent individuals in their fields of study and, through the experiences they gain from sporting and cultural activities, become individuals who contribute to the development of our country.
- Our strategy in university life is to organize activities in the fields of art and culture, such as opening painting and photography exhibitions, concerts, conferences, theater performances, etc., within the scope of various cultural and artistic activities for students, academic staff, and employees. To this end, we collaborate with organizations involved in the aforementioned activities to provide services that enable students to benefit from and participate in sports, arts, and cultural activities to a greater extent.
- To organize activities and make announcements to encourage students and academic and administrative staff to participate in sports, and to collaborate with municipalities and public and private organizations implementing social responsibility projects related to sports to organize events, tournaments, and activities. Participation in sporting events organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation with the teams formed is among the important plans for organizing the necessary equipment, nutrition, and accommodation needs for these activities. Constructing sports facilities, finding expert personnel for students to practice sports consciously, and providing services related to the necessary arrangements for activities carried out in the culture and sports hall located in the city center.
- Within the framework of Cultural Activities, to provide services that enable students to spend their free time according to their interests and develop leisure habits, to encourage them to observe and participate in activities related to the fine arts, and to provide opportunities for them to gain new interests, thereby enabling the healthy development of their talents and personalities.
